Dr. Todd Crowl is Director of the Southeast Environmental Research Center, co-founder of FIU’s Sea Level Solutions Center, and inaugural director of the Institute of Water & Environment. is research focuses on aquatic ecology, predator ­prey interactions, food web ecology and, most recently, urban stream ecology. As co-principal investigator (PI) of the Luquillo Puerto Rico Long-Term Ecological Research Program (LTER), he has spent the last 25 years looking at energy flow between tropical rain forests and rivers and foodweb dynamics.

At the annual TEDxFIU, Dr. Crowl spoke about climate change and how it is affecting sea level rise in South Florida.
