Invitation to Register for MPAT Trainings

Dear Marine Planning community member,

Registration is now open for the Spring and Summer 2016 series of Marine Planning Advancement Training (MPAT) opportunities. Training opportunities are available at the following dates and locations:

  • Southeast Regional Training hosted by training partner Florida International Univeristy, Miami, FL May 11-12, 2016 Register Here
  • Online (with opportunity for additional in-person workshop at the IUCN WCC meeting in Honolulu, HI) June 12 - August 13, 2016 Register Here

The MPAT courses address the scoping, planning, implementaion, monitoring, and adaptation phases of a marine plan. Lead mentors will guide participants through a non-specific island case study that includes elements of many existing coastal regions. The program is designed for maritime/industry professionals, community members, and regional decisionmakers (government, tribal, state, local).

In addition to experiencing the marine planning process, these trainings help to build a national peer-to-peer network of marine planning professionals!
